APD Pursuit on Highway 290 Ends in Detention After Fatal Hit-and-Run Investigation
Authorities in Austin, Texas, are investigating a serious incident following a fatal stabbing and suspected hit-and-run earlier today.
According to reports, multiple Austin Police Department (APD) units followed and successfully intercepted a Honda Odyssey believed to be connected to the case. The vehicle was located and stopped along Highway 290, where officers initiated a traffic stop and detained both the driver and passenger.
Police sources confirm that the individuals inside the vehicle are currently being held for questioning as investigators work to determine their involvement in the earlier incident, in which a male victim was stabbed and later died from his injuries.
Officials also confirmed that a Miranda warning has been read to the suspects as the investigation continues.
